TokenGuard
Use device-risk results in your provisioning rules.
TokenGuard provides device-risk results for provisioning. Your configured rules choose how to use those results, such as declining a request or restricting its activation methods. A positive result does not independently force a decline.
How to use it
- Agree the device-check scope and reporting process with Paymentology.
- Report devices identified through confirmed or high-confidence fraud investigations.
- Configure the handling for a matching device, including appropriate step-up methods where applicable.
- Review resulting provisioning activity and use the agreed process to correct false positives or remove entries.
Device identifiers and available context differ between token requestors. Agree which identifiers your programme can use and test the expected match and non-match cases.
In your notifications
The device-check result is included with the eligible scheme data when TokenGuard applies. Use that result together with the decisioning reason; a blocklist match and the final configured outcome are distinct pieces of information.
TokenGuard concerns provisioning. Do not assume a match automatically suspends or deletes previously issued tokens; handle existing-token lifecycle actions through your agreed integration.
