Release notes
Release notes play a vital role in the overall product experience, as they provide key information to Paymentology's clients. This key information includes new feature releases, additional and enhanced functionality, platform improvements and updates on back-end fixes.
This guide provides you with details on how we communicate, structure and categorize our Banking.Live release notes.
Communication and structure of release notes
Banking.Live release notes are published here.
These release notes are emailed to clients and published upon the successful release of the version to the Banking.Live UAT environment. This version is then released to the production environment approximately three weeks later.
You should be aware of the Banking.Live version you are running. If you are not, please consult your Client Executive.
Categorization of release notes
Paymentology prioritze release notes into three categories:
- What you must know (highlighted features & critical updates):
These are the released items that you must be aware of. The category includes items such as scheme mandates and beneficial features and functionality for clients. - What you should know (important features & updates):
These are the released items that you should know about. The category includes items such as additional feature functionality for clients. - What’s good to know (defect fixes, improvements, and other updates):
These are the good items to know about. The category includes items such as defect fixes and back-end improvements.
Testing release items
Once a release has been deployed onto Banking.Live UAT, clients can choose to test specific items related to their product
Prior to the release onto Banking.Live UAT, Paymentology's Quality Assurance (QA) Team performs rigorous testing on the released items. It is only once a release item has been successfully tested by the QA Team that it will be added to the UAT release list.
