Creating Actions
In order for an action to be available for a rule, it must be created first.
1) Open Decision Engine Action Management
- Go to Decision Engine Action Management.
- Select the client in the left Clients tree.
- Click Create to open the action wizard.
2) Understand the Action Wizard layout
Inside the wizard, you will see:
- Action Name input,
- Select Action Type list,
- a configuration panel that changes by action type,
- a submit button (Add for create, Update for edit).
Important behavior:
- Action type can be selected when creating.
- Action type is locked when editing an existing action.
3) Fill common fields (all action types)
Every action requires:
- Action Name
- Action Type
Also note:
- the form requires all attributes rows to be saved before submit (if you use attributes).
4) Choose an action type
Decision Engine supports these action types:
- ALERT
- DECLINE
- FEE
- CLIENT
- BLOCK_CARD
Use the type that matches your business outcome requirement.
5) Action Attributes (available across forms)
Most action forms include an Attributes section.
How it works:
- Click + Add Attribute.
- Enter key and value.
- Save each row.
- You can edit/delete rows later.
Important:
- If there are unsaved attribute rows or validation issues, submission is blocked.
6) Save the action
- Confirm action type and all required fields.
- Click Add (or Update if editing).
7) How actions are assigned to rules
Action creation is done in Action Management. Rule assignment is done in Rule editing (Rule Outcomes section).
Typical process:
- Create action in Action Management.
- Open rule in Decision Engine.
- In Rule Outcomes, map the action to the relevant outcome branch (TRUE/FALSE/SKIPPED).
