Authorization and validation
The Issuer Authentication Value (IAV) used by the Mastercard network and the Cardholder Authentication Verfification Value (CAVV) used by the Visa network are generated by the ACS system after receipt of the OTP/OOB response from the cardholder.
For Mastercard clients: once the authorization request/0100 message is received from the network, Banking.live validates the IAV.
